Keloids

Keloid is a raised scar that grows larger than the wound that caused it. They develop slowly and do not fade with time. To reduce the keloid, it must be treated. Treatment depends on the body site, size, and how deep it is. It can cause pain, itching and discomfort when it is growing. Pressure garments and silicone gel sheets are usually prescribed along with treatments which give better results. Usually a combination of two or more treatments gives better results.
